For this graphic created for University Girl’s article “From Page to Pain: Colleen Hoover’s Regretting You Hits the Big Screen,” I wanted to reflect the emotional intensity and romance at the core of the story. I used soft gradients and heart motifs to suggest love and vulnerability, while the halftone treatment adds a slightly uneasy, layered feeling beneath the surface. The overlapping faces reference the complicated relationships and emotional tension in the narrative. Handwritten-style typography was chosen to feel personal and intimate, echoing the tone of the novel. The overall palette and textures help balance sweetness with emotional weight, matching the themes of the article.
