For this graphic created for University Girl’s article “Best Friends are Life’s Purpose,” I designed a playful and colorful visual that reflects the warmth and joy of friendship. The goal was to create a lighthearted and nostalgic tone that aligns with the themes of the article.
I used vibrant colors, repeating patterns, and beaded bracelet-inspired elements to evoke a sense of childhood nostalgia. The central illustration of hands reaching toward each other reinforces connection and closeness, while the surrounding motifs add energy and movement to the composition.
I focused on balancing detail and clarity, ensuring the design feels expressive and engaging without becoming overwhelming. The use of repetition, color, and spacing helps guide the viewer while maintaining a cohesive visual system.
This project reflects my approach to editorial design, using color and imagery to create an emotional connection and support the overall narrative.
