For this project, I designed a custom logo for a Bar Mitzvah based on the nickname “Yoyo,” following a client request to incorporate a yo-yo into the design. The goal was to create a playful and memorable mark that clearly connects the name with the visual concept.
Using Adobe Illustrator, I developed custom lettering that mimics the motion of a yo-yo string, while the circular forms represent both the letter “O” and the toy itself. Through feedback and iteration, I refined the design to ensure the concept felt cohesive and easy to understand at a glance. I paired the mark with a bold black background and bright blue accents to create strong contrast and a sense of energy.
I focused on keeping the design simple and flexible so it could be applied across different materials, including signage, apparel, and event graphics, without losing clarity.
This project reflects my ability to respond to client direction, iterate based on feedback, and translate a specific idea into a clear and functional visual identity.
